Let's go for a random hike around Portola State park, and the adjacent Pescadero Creek County Park!
Expect about 8 miles, moderate hills, moderately fast pace except for nature/photo stops, finishing mid to late afternoon.
The route will be mostly wooded, and there may be creek crossings involved.
Bring the usual: lunch, liquids, sensible hiking attire, weather protection, and carpool/parking money.
Meet at carpool point #6.
We'll be back in plenty of time for people to go home and change into their costumes for the Halloween party.
