Sun Jul 10, 2005 10:30 AM River Lounging at Henry Cowell
(Loma Prieta Sierra Singles: http://lomaprieta.sierraclub.org/lpss)

For those who like hanging around rivers among the redwoods, Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park is a nice place to do it. An easy 1-mile trail takes us to a spot along the San Lorenzo River called "The Garden of Eden"; there, we'll hang around, have a picnic, optionally enjoy the nearby swimming holes, maybe wander off on little side excursions (possibly in the water), and generally spend a few hours in a profitless and unproductive manner. Bring lunch, water, and appropriate clothing/footwear for a short hike, some wading and perhaps swimming, and hanging around by the river. Don't bring work. Meet at carpool point #8.

Directions to LPSS carpool point #8 (Homestead Square in Cupertino): Exit 280 onto Saratoga-Sunnyvale Rd (De Anza Blvd) towards Sunnyvale (north). First left on Homestead. Shopping center is on left side. Pass RiteAid and the PW Market, and continue to the north end of the shopping center. Park along the Homestead side, near Carl's Jr.

Sorry, you've missed this one, and there are no future instances on the schedule yet.
