Let's see if there are still any spring wildflowers left in Sunol Regional Wilderness! I don't have a specific route in mind, but plan to combine trail segments to end up with about an 8-mile hike, mostly through open grasslands which typically are filled with flowers in early spring. There will be hills. We'll definitely be visiting Little Yosemite at the end, for an opportunity to cool our feet in Alameda Creek. Bring lunch, plenty of water, sun protection, and money for carpool & parking. Meet at carpool point #5.
Directions to LPSS carpool point #5 (McCarthy Ranch Shopping Center in Milpitas): This is one of the two big new shopping centers at the intersection of 237 and 880; access is via McCarthy Blvd, off of 237. Meet at the north corner, just across the parking lot from Wal-Mart.
