Sat Mar 15, 2003 11:00 AM Tidepooling at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve
(Loma Prieta Sierra Singles: http://lomaprieta.sierraclub.org/lpss)

Let's go explore the tidepools at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve! Low tide (-0.48 ft.) is about 2:40 PM today; we'll head out early and have time for a bit of beach lounging and a picnic while we wait for the tide to go out. As the tide recedes, we'll venture out onto the rocks to see the great variety of life out there in the tidepools. Bring lunch, layered clothing, sun protection, and nonslip footwear that you don't mind exposing to sand & seawater; also, money for carpool and optional post-tidepooling dinner. Rain cancels. Meet at carpool point #7.
Hmmm... no clouds out to sea in the satellite photo this morning; patches of blue sky out my window... unless it starts raining again before 10:00, I'll head up to the carpool point and see who else is crazy enough to head out to the coast today.

Directions to LPSS carpool point #7 (Edgewood / 280 Park 'N Ride): Exit 280 onto Edgewood Road east in Redwood City. The lot is next to the freeway.

Sorry, you've missed this one, and there are no future instances on the schedule yet.
