This is a fun bit of exercise, with no set distance nor return time; plan on 8 miles or so, finishing sometime in the afternoon.
We'll hike at a brisk pace in various directions around Rancho San Antonio, up and down hills, until the leader gets tired or the grumbling gets too loud. Bring water, lunch, layers, and, if you lack confidence in the leader, a flashlight. Directions: Take Foothill Boulevard south from I-280, turn immediately right on Cristo Rey Drive, go about 1 mile, and turn left into Rancho San Antonio. Keep to the right, and proceed to the main parking lot. Meet by the restrooms.
Rain doesn't cancel this hike, though if we get really soggy it may be a bit shorter than originally planned.
