Come look for small colorful things among the vegetation at Edgewood Park. We'll take about a 5-mile loop with maybe 600 ft. elevation gain, then break for lunch; after lunch, we'll have the option of taking another loop in a different direction. The route is somewhat arbitrary.
Dress sensibly for hiking, and bring lunch, liquids, trail munchies, and a botanist if you have one. Rain cancels. Directions: from 280, take the Edgewood Rd. exit and go east 1 mile; turn right at the Edgewood Park sign; park in the outer lot or along Edgewood Rd.
Western Easter was early this year, and the flowers had hit their snooze button. Now it's Orthodox Easter, and they ought to be awake by now. Maybe we'll even see real bunnies, instead of ravens!
This is also Bealtaine, and International Labor Day, so be on the lookout for Communist Morris Dancers.
