California Bird Mart at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds, 344 Tully Rd., San Jose, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM. This has changed management a couple of times, but seems to be going strong now. Lots of things for sale: finches, macaws, and just about any size of bird in between; cages for all sizes of birds; and toys and supplies. Remember to bring money for parking ($8) as well as show admission ($6). It's probably best not to bring large amounts of money, though, lest you go home with a new cockatoo. I typically buy some new chewy toys for Tinga, as well as saying hello to various baby parrots.
