Here'a a nice little hike among the less-visited San Mateo County parks.
There are several minor variations possible, but in general terms we'll cover about 6-8 miles, and about 1000 feet of elevation gain. These parks are mostly shaded, and have creeks running through them -- so there'll be opportunities for wet feet (read: shorts and sandals might be appropriate).
Bring lunch, water, sensible hiking attire, and money for carpool + share of $5/car parking fee.
Meet at carpool point #6.
Special feature: there's a Four Shillings Short concert this afternoon, from 2 to 5, in the San Gregorio General Store. If we finish the hike a little on the early side, we can take a detour to San Gregorio to hear them.
Directions to LPSS carpool point #6 (Page Mill / 280 Park 'N Ride): Exit 280 onto Page Mill Road west (Los Altos Hills) in Palo Alto. The lot is next to the freeway. If looking for overflow parking, beware of the "No Parking" signs along Arastradero. Map: http://tinyurl.com/2tq9rk
