Come join us for this popular hike where we welcome new and potential members to our group. Current members are also welcome. We will hike 4-5 miles at a moderate pace with 800 feet elevation gain before adjourning to the Alpine Inn for beer and burger type fare. In a few places, the trail gets a bit steep, and there could be some mud on the trails. Dress in layers; bring liquid, sun protection, and a sense of humor (not necessarily in that order). Be prepared for outside seating after the hike. Rain does not cancel. Meet at the Alpine Inn.
The scheduled leader can't make it, so it looks like I'll be leading this one.
Directions to The Alpine Inn, in Portola Valley: Coming from the south on I-280, exit Page Mill west and go about 1/3 of a mile, turn right onto Arastradero Rd., and go a couple of miles to the Inn (left turn) just before the intersection with Alpine Road. Coming from the north, exit off I-280 at the Alpine exit and go to the same intersection. Note: please proceed to the far end of the parking lot, rather than taking up parking spaces right near the Inn.
