Sun Nov 11, 2001 10:00 AM Butterfly Hunt and Tidepool Tour
(Loma Prieta Sierra Singles: http://lomaprieta.sierraclub.org/lpss)

OK, this month we're looking for critters with no fangs at all. This is a docent-led tour of the Monarch Butterfly area and the tidepools at Natural Bridges State Beach. Each fall, tens of thousands of Monarch Butterflies come to Natural Bridges; there should be a fair showing by now, and we may hope the weather will still be nice. Heavy rain cancels the tidepool tour, but not the butterfly part. Bring lunch, water, spare shoes (non-slip shoes recommended for the tidepool tour), and money for carpool plus a share of the $6/car park entrance fee, and $1/person donation. Plan on being out all day. Supervised children OK (must wear name tags). The group is limited to 30 people, so reserve your space online at lpss.orgzone.net/reserve/ or by contacting the leader. Meet at carpool point #2.
Tidepools at 1 PM; butterflies at 3. Lunch first. The online reservation system is alive now.

Directions to LPSS carpool point #2 (Los Gatos Public Parking Lot): Exit 17 onto Saratoga Ave (Highway 9) west in Los Gatos. Go past first light (University), then take the first right into the free public parking lot. Meet near the Saratoga Ave end of the lot.

Sorry, you've missed this one, and there are no future instances on the schedule yet.
