This will be the short version of the south Skyline loop, which goes through Skyline Ridge, Monte Bello, and Long Ridge Open Space Preserves, as well as Upper Stevens Creek County Park. Total distance around 9.5 miles, with 2000 feet of elevation gain. For a summer's day, we'll get an early start and go counterclockwise, crossing the tree farm before the day gets too hot. Expect some steep parts, and a creek crossing or two; sturdy footwear is in order. Bring lunch and plenty of water. Meet at carpool point #6.
